Check your match
Enter your tow vehicle's maximum towing capacity (from the owner's manual or door jamb) and the RV's loaded weight. We recommend keeping the trailer at or below 80% of capacity for a safe, comfortable tow.
This tool is for general guidance only. Always verify against your vehicle's payload, tongue/pin weight, GCWR, and your hitch rating, and consult your owner's manual.
The weights that matter
Dry weight (UVW) is what the RV weighs empty from the factory. GVWR is the most it can safely weigh fully loaded with gear, water, and propane — always shop against this number, not dry weight.
Tongue / pin weight is the downward force on your hitch (roughly 10–15% for travel trailers, 15–25% for fifth wheels). GCWR is the max combined weight of your loaded vehicle and trailer together.
